Minutes of 2006 AGM
The minutes for the last AGM were agreed.

Treasurers Report 2006
The accounts for 2006/2007 were presented and agreed. The accounts have been examined by an Independent accountant (Barclays bank) and certified as correct.
• It was noted that the cost of the mural/mosaic for reception (approximately £2500) has yet to be deducted from the accounts, but has previously been agreed.
• A query was raised about the purchase of the freezer. This was bought for storing ice cream and sundry food items for the summer fete as a long term investment. Authority was given to a subcommittee to agree expenditure for the fete, and the freezer purchase was agreed at fete meetings. This is minuted, and the funds included in the total spend of the fete.

AOB
• The “title” by which our charity is known (i.e the PFA) has been discussed in the past – it was felt that many parents and members of the community did not know what the ‘F’ stands for, and members reported that they were constantly asked for clarification on who we are. In order to bring us in line with the majority of similar organisations, and ensure clarity for parents into our role and objectives, it was unanimously decided to rename ourselves as Rogerstone Primary PTA (Parents, Teachers Association).
• Brad asked if the PFA/PTA were going to continue or disband if numbers diminish. The Chair and Committee Members agreed that as long as there are a small number of dedicated committee members the PTA would not be disbanded.
• Maria asked if there was a PTA constitution – There is a general constitution that all PTA associations adhere to, Tracy Williams will give this to Brad to put onto the website. The document was adopted by the committee in 1997 and consideration will be given to whether it needs amending. As Committee Members did not have sight of the document until the meeting, the AGM meeting gave leave for any necessary amendments to the constitution to be agreed by a normal monthly meeting, as long as it was a decision that was agreed by all.
ACTION: Add agenda item for next PTA meeting to discuss if constitution changes are necessary

As there was no other Business the AGM meeting was closed.

The PFA has successfully raised more than £7500 over the last year. £6000 was donated to the school. Current balance in Barclays Bank is £2372.57. A copy of the accounts was supplied – see attached.
